I see light in DAP Miri. I know its a tough fight but you have made it!!! You have lighted up the light. Very bright!! You put the heat in Miri. Continue your hard work!! Make the rocket fly in Miri.
Compliments too to your comrades who help a lot in the election. In my view, you have won!!
Now that the elections are over, I hope you do not disappear. My entire extended family voted for you. Please keep working because Peter Chin (as well as George Chan) has been around for a long time and a lot of people are comfortable as Miri is doing relatively well compared to other places in Sarawak.
A lot of my friends (including myself) speak fluent Mandarin but unfortunately are hopeless when it comes to reading. I graduated from Chung Hua Miri 5 years ago, and have friends in StJoseph and StColumbus secondary who would like to know about your agenda as well. I believe you can really utilize your blog by having it in at least English too. This, I know you are capable of doing as you graduated from UK. Please do consider this as part of widening your network. My dad has kindly translated your newsletters for me whenever he can, but others are not so lucky.
Currently the majority of us are studying overseas and talking about staying on in the respective countries (mainly UK and AUS) to build our careers. Miri is a beautiful place, and it will always be home. However, it is a place without opportunities. If there is a brain drain in Malaysia, imagine what it's like in Miri. Out of only 200 of the schoolmates I still have some sort of contact with, less than 20 I know are working in Miri while others have left.
Again, I hope you keep on trying. You have another 4-5 years before the next election - don't stop.
