Dengan ini saya memberitahu bahawa saya hendak mengemukakan 10 soalan berikut untuk dijawab secara lisan / bertulis semasa Persidangan Dewan ini.

1. To ask the Minister of Local Government and Community Development. (written answer)
a. Please state the total revenue and expenses of Majlis Bandaraya Miri during the last five years (2007, 2008, 2009,2010,2011. )
b. Itemise the funds from the federal government and state government in the respective years?
c. State the purpose of these funds allocated aforesaid.

2. To ask the Minister of Local Government and Community Development. (written answer)
There is a road sweeper vehicle on duty in Miri city.
a. Please state the areas that the sweeping job is carried out by the road sweeper, the frequency, and the monthly payment to the contractor?
b. Who is the Contractor and when was he engaged to carry the job? Please furnish the term and condition of the contract.
c. How much has been paid to the contractor since his engagement?

3. To ask the Minister of Local Government and Community Development (written answer) People in Miri have been complaining about the low quality of the dustbins supplied to them.
a. When and how many dustbins have been distributed to the households in Miri?
b. State the total cost for supplying the dustbins and the name of the suppliers in the specific locations.

4. To ask the Minister of Planning and Resource Management: (written answer)
a. How many water catchment areas are there in Sarawak? State the locations and land size?
b. State how many areas have been gazetted and the restricted activities in those water catchment areas?

5. To ask Minister of Industrial Development (written answer):
Jobs opportunity in oil and gas industry is extremely limited for the local people in recent years in Miri.
a. Itemise the new recruitment for the five years (2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011) in Shell and Petronas in Miri based on the posts.
b. List the figure of the new recruitment based on Mirian, Sarawakian, West Malaysian and foreigner recruited by Shell and Petronas in Miri?

6. To ask the Minister of infrastructure Development and Communications (written answer).
Many fatal accidents occurred along the “coastal highway” (Miri to Bintulu) due to no road shoulder for those breakdown lorries to park therefore causing collision. State the statistics for accidents along this road. a. What is the total cost of the said road project? When has this road been gazetted by the state government?
b. What measures will be implemented to improve the road condition?

7. To ask the Minister of infrastructure Development and Communications (written answer).
Jalan Riam / Jalan Hospital Baru Link Road, Lopeng Tengah, Miri (Lot 4820) is not in good condition.
a. When was the completion date and the total cost of the above-mentioned project?
b. What measures are being implemented to improve the road?

8. To ask the Minister of Infrastructure Development and Communication (oral answer).
Public especially bus transportation is essential for the poor in Miri, but because of losses, the bus companies are forced to terminate their services.
a. What measures are taken to improve public transportation in Miri?
b. Are there any subsidies given by the government to the bus companies to improve their services? ( < 40 words)

9. To ask the Minister of Public Utilities (oral answer):
People in Lawas have complained about the irregularity of water supply.
a. When has the water treatment plant project in Lawas started?
b. When will it be completed? What is the total cost of this project?

10. To ask the Minister of Housing (oral answer):
On low cost housing development (Rancangan Perumahan Rakyat) in Lawas.
a. How many low cost housing have been developed in Lawas up to date? Where is the location?
b. How long has it been since the housing project completed? How many land titles have been issued to the house owners? ( < 40 words)
